Therapeutic Actions
Covalent conjugate of the human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (filgrastim) produced by recombinant DNA technology; has a longer duration of action than filgrastim; increases the production of neutrophils within the bone marrow with little effect on the production of other hematopoietic cells.
Indications

To decrease the incidence of infection in patients with nonmyeloid malignancies receiving myelosuppressive anticancer drugs associated with a significant incidence of severe febrile neutropenia
Available Forms
Injection—6 mg/0.6 mL in prefilled syringes
Dosages
Adults and children weighing more than 45 kg
6 mg subcutaneously as a single dose once per chemotherapy cycle. Do not give in the period 14 days before and 24 hr after administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy.
Pediatric patients
Safety and efficacy not established.
