It is the surgeons’ preference concerning which fixation system they use to provide immobilization and stabilization of the spinal segments as an adjunct to fusion. One type of fixation system is the Stryker Spine, XIA Low Profile Titanium Spine System that can be seen in Figures 64-6 through 64-17.
