Mechanism that exerts therapeutic effect is unknown. Activates the nuclear factor–like 2 pathway involved in cellular response to oxidative stress.
Indications
Treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis
Contraindications and Cautions
Contraindicated with history of serious hypersensitivity reactions to dimethyl fumarate.
Use cautiously with pregnancy, lactation.

Dosages
Adults
Starting dose, 120 mg PO bid for 7 days; then maintenance dose of 240 mg PO bid.
Pediatric patients
