Serotonin/norephinephrine reuptake inhibitor


Therapeutic Actions

Potentiates the neurotransmitter activity in the CNS; inhibits serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine reuptake leading to prolonged stimulation at neuroreceptors.


Indications



  • Treatment of major depressive disorder


  • Treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (ER capsules only)


  • Treatment of social anxiety disorder (ER only)


  • Treatment of panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia (ER capsules only)


  • Unlabeled uses: PMDD, hot flushes, autism, pain, binge-eating disorder, diabetic neuropathy, migraine prevention
