Therapeutic Actions

Increases bone mineral density without stimulating endometrium in women; modulates effects of endogenous estrogen at specific receptor sites.


Indications



  • Prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women


  • Reduction of risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and a high risk of invasive breast cancer


  • Unlabeled uses: Uterine leiomyoma, pubertal gynecomastia, prevention of bone loss in men with prostate cancer
