Therapeutic Actions

Reduces RBC aggregation and local hyperviscosity, decreases platelet aggregation, decreases fibrinogen concentration in the blood; precise mechanism of action is not known.


Indications



  • Intermittent claudication, to improve function and symptoms


  • Unlabeled uses: Cerebrovascular insufficiency to improve psychopathologic
    symptoms, diabetic vascular disease, aphthous stomatitis, diabetic neuropathy, Kawaski’s disease, sickle cell disease
