Therapeutic Actions
Bactericidal; interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis, blocks adherence of bacteria to uroepithelial cells.
Indications
Uncomplicated UTIs in women caused by susceptible strains of Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecalis; not indicated for the treatment of pyelonephritis or perinephric abscess
Contraindications and Cautions
Contraindicated with allergy to fosfomycin.
Use cautiously with pregnancy, lactation.
