Therapeutic Actions
Counteracts smooth muscle spasm of the urinary tract by relaxing the detrusor and other smooth muscles through action at the muscarinic parasympathetic receptors.
Indications
Treatment of overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency and urinary frequency
Contraindications and Cautions
Contraindicated with allergy to drug or any component of the drug, urinary retention, gastric retention, uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.
Use cautiously with bladder outflow obstruction, GI obstructive disorders, decreased GI motility, controlled narrow-angle glaucoma, reduced hepatic function, pregnancy, lactation.

ER tabletsDNC—7.5, 15 mg
Dosages
Adults
7.5 mg/day PO taken with liquid and swallowed whole. May be increased to 15 mg/day PO as early as week 2, if needed for patient response.
Pediatric patients
Safety and efficacy not established.
Patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class B)
Do not exceed 7.5 mg/day PO.
Patients with severe hepatic impairment
Not recommended.
