Therapeutic Actions
Exerts potent antiandrogenic activity by inhibiting androgen uptake or by inhibiting nuclear binding of androgen in target tissues.
Indications
Treatment of locally advanced and metastatic prostatic carcinoma in combination with LH-RH agonistic analogues (leuprolide acetate, goserelin)
Unlabeled uses: Treatment of hirsutism in women (250 mg/day), treatment of acne vulgaris
Contraindications and Cautions
Contraindicated with hypersensitivity to flutamide or any component of the preparation, severe hepatic impairment, pregnancy, lactation.
Use cautiously with smoking, G6PD deficiencies.

Adults
