Therapeutic Actions

Reduces sensitivity of the labyrinthine apparatus; peripheral anticholinergic effects may contribute to efficacy.


Indications



  • Prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting, dizziness associated with motion sickness



Available Forms

Tablets—25, 50 mg


Dosages

Adults

50 mg PO 30 min before exposure to motion; repeat every 4–6 hr. Do not exceed 200 mg in 24 hr.

Pediatric patients 6–12 yr

25 mg PO up to three times a day; maximum dose, 75 mg/day.
