Therapeutic Actions

A human placental hormone with actions identical to pituitary LH; stimulates production of testosterone and progesterone.


Indications



  • Prepubertal cryptorchidism not due to anatomic obstruction


  • Treatment of selected cases of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in males


  • Induction of ovulation in the anovulatory, infertile woman in whom the cause of anovulation is secondary and not due to primary ovarian failure and who has been pretreated with human menotropins

Powder for injection—10,000 units/vial with 10 mL diluent


Dosages

Patients older than 4 yr

For IM use only; individualize dosage; the following dosage regimens are suggested
