Therapeutic Actions

Long-acting agonist that binds to beta2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs, causing
bronchodilation; also inhibits release of inflammatory mediators in the lungs, blocking swelling and inflammation.


Indications



  • Long-term maintenance treatment of bronchoconstriction in patients with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema



Available Forms

Inhalation solution—7.5 mcg/mL


Dosages

Adults

15 mcg bid (morning and evening) by nebulization. Do not exceed total daily dose of 30 mcg.

Pediatric patients

Safety and efficacy not established.
